Joemar Villalobos

Co-Founder, Urban Goes Green

Urban Goes Green is a community-driven initiative transforming vacant urban spaces in Metro Manila into productive green areas. Founded in 2021 in San Antonio Village, Pasig City, our mission is to make gardening accessible to every Filipino, whether you have a full backyard or just a condo balcony.

Joemar started Urban Goes Green after seeing how much unused space existed across Manila that could be turned into food-producing gardens. As a certified SEO specialist and passionate urban gardener, he combined his technical skills with hands-on growing experience to build a 400-plant directory, a soil delivery service covering all 17 NCR cities, and professional landscaping and drip irrigation services.

Beyond the business, Joemar dedicates 70% of earnings to supporting indigenous communities in Mindoro and training underprivileged youth in digital marketing through Digitribe Innovation Philippines. Every plant guide, soil delivery, and landscaping project is rooted in a simple belief: growing plants changes more than your space.
